will do-I'll be there bright and early Friday morning. To avoid the horrors of Atlanta traffic(I live 50-60 miles north) I will leave around 4 am Friday morning and be there about 5:30. I would rather get there extra early then stress over possibility of being late. Sat and Sun I can leave around 5 or 5:30 and be okay. Weather is supposed to be the pitts....what is it about the Atlanta show at the expo-every year the Feb show it rains... never fails.....to be truthfully honest-even the Aug/Sept shows are usually rainy also..... I've been showing for 2.5 years. Started when my boy was 6 months old. He finsihed in 6 months once he started taking points, about 2 yrs. old, with a 5 pt. major going BISS over specials. He's my first Bulldog and the only one I've finished, owner handled, but helped finish DJ's girl Piper and I show her as a special at times. My Boo girl is the next in line.....we'll see...!

all of my experience has been in the obedience ring up until recently. My first bully had her CD in 3 days and also has her rally novice title and working towards the next. My deaf girl is working in Agility right now with her debut hopefully in the spring or summer. My conformation girl is right now working towards her obedience titles as she matures to show in the conformation ring. Her debut will be im March.

Hey Kelly-well lets hit the ring with a BANG!! Starting with a specialty-you're a brave girl. I was thinking of blowing this show off, but hubby mentioned going the other day, so we may be there with you. I don't like specialties that much. Good luck in Athens! Laura

Our second full year, as we started with Winston, who proved to be a wonderful learning experience, and put us in touch with the most wonderfully helpful and experienced bulldoggers, one could hope to run across. Duchess came to us, a year ago and we are actively showing her and look forward to finishing her as she just keeps getting better with age and maturity. We are also showing Storm, who is still in the evaluation stages, also known as the awkward teenager phase. We have yet to finish one. But the journey is worth the effort.
Perserverance isn't a long race. It's a series of short races, ran one after the other.

Speaking for myself, Gene and Bandit we too are hoping Olivia's breeding will bring you your next champion. And maybe one or two to spare. Good luck on your third leg, she is a special girl.

I started showing as a kid in 4-H, then Juniors w/AKC when I was old enough. My father was a Licensed handler in the 70's and we had kennels and show dogs in the house so I grew up with it. Dog showing was not my passion though. I think I did it out of boredom when attending shows with dad and for the money in 4-H. As an adult I got 'MY OWN" dog when I was in my late 20's. She was a Belgian Tervuren and I finished her in 6 months, just after she turned 1 year at the Portland show. I also put a CD on a Min Schnauzer when I was little, around 11 yrs old. No great successes with the bulldogs yet. My first 2 are both dog show dropouts with 1 being pointed. Hopefully Ester will change all that
My passion was horse showing and I did that for 30+ years. Had my first show when I was 8 and sold my last horse about 6 years ago. I've had several National and World Champions, Best In Show Halter winners of my own and I've shown several for other trainers. I miss it greatly but it takes a huge time and money commitment that just isn't in the cards at this time. If only I could win the lottery and interest my husband in it

Hey Kelly: I've been showing 3 1/2 yrs. I have 1 champion and he finished in 18mths. I was able to get Tequila's first major and BB(also my first), but he hated to show and I was determined to finish him, so we hired a handler. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have finished him. He hated it and it wasn't fair to him to drag him around when he hated it. I like Cathy attribute my lack of success with lack of experience. I have done much better with the babies I am showing now. They fared well from their first trip in the ring-they don't always win, but are usually in the ribbons which gives me the determination to finish them. Laura

ME when he turned 6 months old, he will be 8 in July. Im honest when i say he showed me. If i handled better and he would allow me to handle im sure he would have been finished. Bosco is pointed in Canada and the US, always placed at specialty shows well.
Bella i got at 8week, we started working on her stacking right away and walking on a leash, i think i over practiced with her. She HATES the ring, i know people say that is an excuse. IM TELLING YOU SHE HATED IT. She has some reserves. (Bella will be 7 in August)
Breve' is out of Bella's 1st litter. She has 7 points AKC and 6 Canadian, was out of the ring for 2 yrs due to a knee injury. She has had 2 litters and is now breed and im sure retired. She will be 5 in May. She likes showing off and on, i will say she is showing the best she has in years now. With the English in her she has been very slow to mature.
Holly is a firecracker, she is out of Bella's 2nd litter. She had 10 points with 2 majors at 7 months. Had judges offer to buy her after her specialty major and were a bit mad that i would not sell her to them. We were not going to keep her, but Bella's breeder who was very very ill saw her and said OMG your keeping her right? She was 3 months old, we were not. His wife told us to home everything we owned and keep her. So she stayed, her record is great. She finished at 20 months old with huge Major wins and reserves, Best in Sweeps from 3 clubs and BBE from 2 and a best puppy. Holly just turned 3 in December and will be breed next week to BIS, BISS Ch Majestic Willy McKee
Jack is out of Breve's first litter, he has 15points 2 majors from supported entries. I started showing Jack and we did very well together. His owner started handling classes and took over to put both his majors on him. Now Heather is going to get that last single. She also put his CGC and has done great with training him to be a very nice show dog. Jack has 1 best in sweeps and a few RWD. Jack will be 2 in March
Angel, is out of Breve's 2nd litter, she has had limited showing and is placing well in the ring. SHe is easy going in the ring just like her mom and is a lover. Again with the English i think she will be a slow maturer. Just turned 1 in November
Ester & Roast, are bothing looking very very prommising and are just getting out in the ring. Both have done well in the ring so far, so we hope they will follow their mom & dad's show records 9 months old
Im maxed out on dogs in my house, i have resourted to selling and giving away my show prospects. I have been lucky finding homes where we co-own and either im able to show or they bring them in the ring.
