Wonderful turnaround for Mick our Olde English Bulldogge

Hi everyone,

I wanted to post an update on Mick our 9-month-old Olde English Bulldogge.

We were having tremendous problems with his behavior and biting me and my husband.

We have gone a month now with no bites.  We both did a lot of praying for our pup, because we thought we would have to put him to sleep.  Prayers work.  I prayed every single night for a MIRACLE.

Mick's guarding of things has also diminished greatly.  He still tries it now and again, but just this morning he was chewing up one of his balls and I said "Give it" and he rolled it to me.  A big, big step for me and Mick.  I think he is seeing me as one of the pack now between my husband, our trainer and me.

We are not out of the woods, but we are about 75% there our trainer says.  We are still working at keeping him from jumping up on the couch (as he guarded that) and also a chair that I sit in (where he jumped up and bit me).  He thinks that it is his furniture....LOL

So, I just wanted to thank everyone for their replies and help in our extremely difficult time.  We are going to continue to work and work with Mick in the hopes that he grows out of everything from the past issues.  He loves other dogs, cats and people; it was just us.

We were fooled by the Amish community where we got Mick, thinking we were getting an english bulldog with pug.  As Mick grew, we knew he was not a miniature english bulldog.  He was just weighed at 68 pounds at the vet last week.

I have been on a cyber mission on Facebook forum in particular to tell people not to buy from the Amish and their puppy mills.  It is such a big problem all over the United States, but I think great strives are being met with everyone's efforts.

Thank you, again.....

Terri
