The dog's reaction was to continue to snooze.
It was weird. An elderly woman (who I'll call Bee, although that's not her name) who I never met before walked into our house (no coat and 20º) with a confused tale of her (son? daughter? cousin?) locking her (inside or outside) of her home. We had a nice long 40 minute talk as she sat on my couch and waited for the police to come help her. She got along very well with the dogs, and so did the police. We had a long bulldog discussion with one of the cops who wants a bulldog. Margie snuggled with Bee and Quigley licked her pant leg.
Aw, what a sweet story Stephanie:-)
We had the same thing happen when I was young. An older lady walked into our living room (we were moving and the front door was open), and she sat down and made herself comfortable. She told my brothers she lived in that house. Well, she actually might have, years and years before, but not for a long time. She had Alzheimer's and had wandered way from the care home she lived at. My brothers made her tea and waited for the police to come pick her up and take her home.

awww.....I'll bet Bee just loved them!!! And wow, so glad
she was safe in your home instead of possibly wandering around outside and getting hurt :-( Hope they were able to contact her family!
That's so cute about the pant leg licking----our babies are OBSESSED with our pant legs---!!! :-)
Our sweet Archimedes "MEATY" Bones (or as we say...boneSHHH!) ---born 11/28/08---- our first bullllyyyy!!!
And SOPHIE Bubbles *Rapscallion* (LOL!) ---born 4/3/11----our second bulllllyyyy!!!!
She got home.
I called 911 about the same time her family was doing it, so everything was good. She lives just across the alley from us, just a few yards. She came in the back door and I heard her and went out and said, "Hi! Can I help you?" After the cops came (like an episode of Adam-12) they went and got her son who came and helped her home.
Poor Bee, but at least she found a good friend with you:-)
A good ending to a sweet story:-). I bet Bee isn't through visiting you yet though!
