Sorry. Another question for the Bulldog Masters lol

Transitioning into the raw and natures variety kibble. Since its an allergy thing should I just right into it with some pumpkin or should I still spend a whole week switching over? I know typically you should switch slowly but in this case what do you guys think? Because if I wanted to I could be giving him his first pattie for dinner with the kibble. I have it all here staring at me. Lol

We always do a slow transition because...

nothing worse than having those loose poops for days.  We tried switching Newman to Natural balance fish from the duck and even after 8 days, he still had a few problems when we finished the switch.

Maybe I got lucky that one time

I switched Sherman straight into the natural balance because the other food merrick lamb and brown rice and he was making an obvious decline evry day he ate more of it so I switched cold turkey and he didn't get loose stools at all. Maybe he has a tough belly in that regard idunno. That's one thing about Sherman he has actually never had actual diarhea yet knock on wood.  I can say one thing about the natural balance is that he used to have a super stinky face from yeast even cleaning a few times a day and he never has that anymore. So I guess I'm on track with the grains at least. Or at least from what I read that's a sign of grain allergy. Fun game :|

Just switch

don't transition. You may want to add canned pumpkin if you get diarrhea. Make sure it is straight pumpkin.

When you switch to a totally raw diet there is a detox they may go through and they will get diarrhea.

Thanks

I was scared to get yelled at by you guys but that's what I did lol. I already just went right into it. I haven't given him the raw yet tho. Was going to a bit ago but he's pretty sleepy today. We were out earlier a few times he's tired out. When he wakes up I'm gonna give him some food and a little sample of the patty in there. And that's exactly what I did I got some pumpkin while I was there too. I fed him as soon as I got back. I was scared to get told how stupid I am for not doing it gradual but I did it before and he was fine. Well... As crazy as this sounds.. And I don't hunk it's even possible.. But something is weird.. He has not scratched or licked his paws since early today like 10am. I am not living either. It's really weird. I know it can't work that fast even if I had found the culprit. Very strange. Even more strange is that when he woke up today he didn't want his food. He looked at me after he sniffed it. That's why I said "ok dude lets go try another food" so he actually only ate the natures variety today because he denied the other. It almost seemed like he was saying "this shit isn't working dad" lol. I know it can't be that easy tho but I swear I am telling the truth. He hasn't scratched or licked all day almost. So weird.
