Rehoming my world.

its with a heavy heart i write this, and you probably read a million posts saying they need to rehome there bully because of this or that, but my situation at the moment is terrible for ruby my bully daughter, last year my dad was diagnosed with cancer of the bone marrow,he went into remission at christmas, and we was all over the moon, but sadly this summerit cames back more agressive than ever, and we were told that he as 6 months at the most to live,me and my dad live 40 mins apart and ive been there constantly taking care of him and im there sometimes 12 hours aday, and ruby is being left with a relative a few hours then left alone again until i get home, and i hate seeing her get so depressed as she as been doing lately, ruby loves my dad but unfortunatley ruby doesnt like other dogs and my dad as one,we have a tiny jack russell and ruby adores him,but hes fine with other dogs and can come with me whilst i care for my dad,but ruby just attacks his dog,so im looking for a loving understanding home for ruby, were she will be the only dog,she adores children and is fine with cats, but not other dogs, money wont be involved in her rehoming, all i want is a contract signing stating that if you can no longer keep her that she must be brought back to us,she must not be bred from,,we would like to meet you and you to meet ruby and to do a couple of weekends trial first,to see how she gets on,i hope you understand why were doing this as she truly is our baby,we owned her mother who died on the operating table being spade, that is the reason why we havent got her spade as were scared of history repeating itself, ruby is a gorgeous loving, healthy bulldog, who hates walking just loves lounging in the house and playing in the garden, ive had questions asking why i cant drop her off at a dog sitter, thats because ruby stresses when she is with someone she doesnt know that is why we would like you to have a few visits before she goes to you so she knows you and the change will be easier for her to accept,we did try and drop her at dog sitter in june, and because she didnt know them and they didnt know the breed requirments she ended up in there yard with heatstroke and we almost lost her she was in the vets 3 days,

so please, please get in touch if you are a genuine bulldog lover and have knowledge of this breed, and agree that should we let you take her you must return her to us if you need to rehome her and you dont breed from her, please message me if your interested thank you so much for reading..

You need to tell us where you are so we can contact you

And get you information for your local Bulldog rescue group. They will be able to help you with Ruby. It isn't safe to post her anywhere, please make sure you contact a Bulldog rescue. You can either wait for us to locate one for you. Or you can call the Bulldog Club of Smerica and ask them for a rescue in your area. If you are inTexas please contact me by private message...

Best wishes to you all.

My heart goes out to you

I'm in the U.S., so I don't know what rescue re-homing services are available to you in the U.K.  Have you considered a dog sitter who would drop by your office for visits during the day with Ruby?  I know what you mean by your girl stressing in new situations since our Maude can be anxious when she goes to a new place. We had a vacation scheduled earlier this year and our regular sitter (a great friend of ours who has known Maude since we brought her home at 8 weeks) was unable due to illness to take care of our dogs so we hired a dog sitter recommended by our vet's office.  She stopped in three times a day for visits and play, took them out for potty breaks and walks, and fed them.  They loved her and it was reasonable -- way cheaper than boarding -- but most importantly they were in their own environments.  Maybe you could contact your vet to see if he/she has any recommendations.

Good luck with your Ruby.
