one last good time with Matilda

Our precious girl Matilda woke up yesterday morning and just like every morning for the past 10 years followed her routine of laying at my feet while I had my coffee and made a fuss of her. Patting her head, rubbing her tummy and, you all know, all those little touches a bully likes. She followed me to the kitchen, ate her breafast and then asked to go out. It had come, to the time, in her life where she needed abit of help going up and down stairs, so as always down we went and off she went to do her business (she hated me to watch) soon enough, around the corner she rumble along and up the stairs we went back into the house. The morning proceeded, and always she soon rumbled off to the our bedroom where her pink blanket was waiting for her to snuggled down into again, for her morning nap. I followed soon after, on my way for a morning shower, I closed the door as she was licking her feet, just another day but this day when I was done in the shower and opened the door ready for my day, I took a quick glance, as I would often do, on my way past and than another for something stopped me to look hard at her, she was sleeping so peacefully, way to peacefully for my my peace of mind. Just like that our precious girl fell asleep forever. This is all I can write but I wanted to say thankyou BullDogsWorld its been a great ride.

knowing she had a great morning and then ever so gently went to sleep. I know it's really hard right now but it will, with time, get better. Then all the great memories will be your comfort :)

to read about your baby! sounds like she had a wonderful life and was ready to pass over. know she went peacefully and with your love...leaving you hers........NEVER easy to say 'later' to them anyway, anytime...........

but I have to say this is actually a beautiful story. I would only hope to have such a peaceful passing for my bullies, and even for myself. Matilda was a very special girl, and so lucky to have a mom like you to share her life with. Hoping that you find comfort in your heart.

I know this is one of the hardest thing to go thur. I am so sorry. I lost my Gummybear a year ago and it still hurts. Time will ease the pain. I sending you hugs and prayers. Please don't leave Bullogsworld. We still want you here. You are family on this board. Matilda I think would want to stay and share more stories and repost her pictures. I beleive she right there by your side. watching you. Even throw she went to the Bridge she is with so many Bullies from BDW. just waiting for you to come pick her up. Matilda knows you love her very much as she love you. In time she will let you know when it's time to take the step and get another Bulldog. Again I'm so sorry for you and your family. She is a Beautiful Lady and will be miss by all of us. Run Free Matilda and R.I.P. this is beaking my heart I so sorry.
