Here's an article I found about how dogs change your life. The first few paragraphs are upsetting but the end of the story is happy.

And so true! Everyone wants to see and talk about your new puppy or dog, it is a great way to be accepted in an animal loving society. It's also very humbling to realize a dog loves you and sticks with you no matter what your background:-)
