Margie's difficult night.

She had a crisis early this morning. I woke up hearing weird noises. For some reason, she'd decided to come up the stairs to the TV room and had fallen or gotten stuck. I couldn't tell whether she was trying to come up or go down, but she was in a panic. She had pooped in the kitchen. I got her downstairs and she panted from 6:30 to about 7:45. She paced around the house – not a usual activity. I got her to go out and she did a little piddle and then wandered around the backyard, very much against her usual activity.

I was worried that her tongue was going to swell up. We sat with her, gave her lemon juice and ice water and she finally calmed down.

She's now sound asleep and I am going to try her and the steps later. She seemed frightened of them going outside. I've never seen her afraid of the steps before. Poor bullie. Two steps forward, one back. She's acting 'normal.' But, I'm hoping that tonight, she'll be OK with joining us at her favorite place; the couch in the TV room, upstairs.

Oh goodness, poor Margie.

She should come back around pretty quickly, she is trusting you much more now and hopefully she feels secure there. Must have frightened herself....

Thanks! She seems to have forgotten last night.

She's OK now. But, Tuesday, we're bringing home a...puppy.

Good to hear she is doing better...

Sometimes things go bump in the night and scare us silly! Hope that's all it was:-).

I can't wait to see pics of your new baby! Margie...she may not be as enthusiastic! Time and patience, and both old and new will be happy!
