Introducing bolota!

Hello guys, this is bolota, wich means something like "fattie"/"ballie" in english.

He's 4 months old, health, funny, love playing, and eat pretty much everything that fit in his mouth.

Hope you guys like the pics!

This weekend is gonna be special, because he just got his 3rd shot, so, now he is allowed to have a walk decently. Cant wait for that!

Stephan

Thankz!

lol, thank you for the answers, gonna take some new pics.

Does anyone here could recommend me if I gotta use a choke collar or a harness?

I read a lot about both, and i could see that each one has good and bad points, so, i'm thinking about get both, and try both, and then see which one is better for bolota. I'm just rlly scared about using choke collar, he looks so cute for this! Otherwise, i know that using harness, i may have troubles to hold and control him, anyway, what do you think about this?

Thank you again!

No on the choke collar

A harness is always a better option for bulldogs given their potential for breathing issues.

I've never owned a harness

and I've had bulldogs for 16 years. Nothing wrong with a choke collar if used correctly. AND there lys the problem, most people do not know how to use on correctly. You can not just tug on a choke or let the dog pull on a choke. I personally prefer a martingale collar, with a 1 inch flat nylon.

My puppies are first taught to lead in a flat nylon collar, then they learn in a nylon choke. Since I have shown all my puppies they have all gone to handling classes and learned how to lead with other dogs.

One of my puppies new owner trained her with a harness and she was the worst puller I have ever seen. Took some tough training for me to even walk her without her hanging on me. Honestly very irritating.

So I personally would never train a dog with a harness, after they are trained to lead then a harness is fine, but if you have one that pulls it will only get worse and you have zero control.

Well hello cutie!!!

Congratulations on your bully! As far as the collar/harness, we had originally trained Tucker with a leash then for some silly reason I thought he needed a harness. Silly me, it made him a horrible puller! We now use a easy walk harness that has the D ring in the front. It works great for us. Looking back, I wish we had never stopped using just his collar. With this harness I feel much more in control.

Good luck!
