In some places, they may be able to help. You might also try calling local vets to see if they know who you can contact.

Did you contact someone at Bulldog Rescue in your area?
If I were in your shoes, I would go to the owners and ask if I could have the remaining dog, even if I had to offer money. It might help if you post your location.

Take photos and post it on Facebook and also contact the media.
Make it clear that the police will NOT intervene to save this precious abused dog.
Capture the neighbor's dog on video too.

THEY WOULDN'T INTERVENE BEFORE...NOW THEY SAY THEY ARE COMING OUT...BEEN WAITING ABOUT 2 HOURS. THIS IS KILLING ME...THEY LEFT HIM OUT THERE ALL NIGHT AND DAY DEAD UNTIL THEIR DAUGHTER GOT HOME(9TH GRADER) AND WE SAW HER OUTSIDE DIGGING A HOLE BESIDE HIM BY HERSELF!!!!! WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE THESE?????? IF ANIMAL CONTROL DOES NOT TAKE HER WHEN THEY COME OUT...THEN I WILL!

Can you offer this person $50 for the dog?
They may take the money and you could either keep the dog or hand him over to bulldog rescue.
You also may want to keep an yeye on the daughter. She may be abused.
(I realize that MS is an entirely different culture that MN, and that what is considered culturally normal there is criminal here.)

I'm sorry that you are having to deal with this. I am sure you are angry and heartbroken and I am heartbroken for you. Do all of the things people have said here and hopefully something will work. I would contact any canine rescue in your area (if a bulldog resuce isn't available).

I am so sorry an my heart breaks just reading these posts....
I don't know what's wrong with the world these days where someone will leave an animal out side to suffer the elements, an these people should be strung up for this !!!
I truly hope someone takes that dog before something happens to it also, cause the law doesn't want to do anything........ I really sorry that you have to go through this Nicole with animal control doing nothing hopefully you can find a bulldog rescue or someone to grab the dog out of that horrible situation..........GOD SPEED AN GOD BLESS YOU

I'm from there. I know you won't have much help if you don't put it on FB. Contact Senator Whitimer he can help you. There is a rescuse there that will take that dog if you can't. Don't watch this one die. Whittmer shut down a rescuse over abuse. After I e-mail him. They were in Lubbock Texas. We also had prof from the t.v station

This is Pris from Texas, remember me? I don't know what to tell you, but if there is a vet that will listen to you maybe they can do something. I assume that you have called the animal control people where you are?
As far as the advise that you were give about MOVING out of TEXAS, wonder if that person has ever been down here. Lots of very GOOD people living here, just the same as there are in Mississippi. And, if he is Indiana, I have been there and there are things about it that are seriously messed up, as there are in any state in the US.
Broad sweeping statements can be very offending.
Let me know what happens, and as one person said offer some money for the dog. As far as stealing the dog, be ready for any repercussions that may arise.
