Half Way Home
Submitted by Bluebird Gal on September 6, 2016 - 9:33pmWell, after my hubby leaving last night at 10pm for a 9hr drive to meet up with Amelia, they are now 1/2 way back to our home. My hubby's words were "oh my god she chews everything except her toys!" "she's running around this hotel room like a maniac" LOL
I told him, apparently I forgot to tell him about potential Terrible Twos .. my bad :D I also had him cut off that hideous bandana immediately. I've already ordered her a nice harness since she pulls like a freight train on a collar/leash.
He snapped this photo and said that she actually laid still for 2min.
But in her defense she has been couped up in two different vehicles, except for short walks to potty and have a drink of water, for too long as well. So they have both been fed, out for their last walk of the evening and should be back home early tomorrow.
Just in time to start pup / cat introductions. We are in for a (hopefully) brief ride with all that but she won't have to worry about being displaced ever again!

Thank you all .. can't wait to see them both. They should arrive home around 10:30am MST, so about 3 more hours. My hubby is taking it much easier today, and thankfully got some much deserved sleep last night before driving again.
He said she was a little wild child but we both know there have been sooo many changes in her little life in the past 3mos that she's going to need to unwind a bit. Luckily, her former owner, sent all of her toys (and Amazon Prime will be delivering a boat load more very soon...haha) and we have an off-leash area here at our campground for her to burn off the puppy energy daily!

How wonderful for her -- her prayers have been answered!! Loving parents, a steady home, plenty of space to play, new toys.... I am so happy for all of you. Hopefully Amelia and your kitties will get along very well.
