David had surgery yesterday.

Years of misused (gymnastics, martial arts, etc.) has caused a lot of neck problems and we're hoping this will help. He went in at about 9:00 am and we were home by 3:00 pm. The dogs weren't worried, but Quigley didn't get his walk. David's up today. He can't bike or life anything more than 15 lb for six weeks. But, he's feeling OK. They sent him home with a bunch of pain killers but I don't think he'll be using them for long.
We'll be back to normal by next Monday, I think.

You said 'up and running.' David doesn't run. The very idea is shocking. (He does ride his bike but can't do it for six weeks. By then, summer is over, almost.
