Congestion

Anyone else have a congestion issue that comes and goes particularly after eating his first meal of the day? He's been to the vet she said his lungs sound good no infection either. She didnt actually hear it cause it wasn't happening while I was there. Her answer was probably elongated soft palatte but the thing is that it isnt constant only sometimes. I would think that would be all the time correct? i think its the food. I know he has allergies already and I'm currently in the process of switching from royal canin to Merrick but I'm only on day 2 so he's still eating the RC. He did it pretty bad today I noticed. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience. I hate when he sounds like he has bronchitis or something. Makes me want to help him clear it out. Def sounds like mucas. Really hoping after getting away from the RC this will stop. Like I said, it's not all the time. Some days he doesn't even do it which is weird. Thanks.

Penelope has the same some times

Its usually after eating or if she's been running like a nut job none stop. Some people on here have told me if the mucus get bad you can just them a squirt of lemon juice to help clear it up. I've found that If I give Penelope a few slices of apple (no skin or seeds)it helps her big time. Hopefully this was helpful

It cold be a palate problem...

if you are neutering him, ask them to check it while he is under anesthesia.  A good bulldog vet will know if it needs trimming or not.

Yea

I figured that was possible. The only thing is that I don't understand why it's only sometimes. I'm sure I will eventually find out like at that time like u said.

Thanks

That sounds like a good idea. I think I will try it.

My only question is

What could be causing the mucas?
