Hi I have a rescued bulldog who has cherry eye in both of his eyes. I was wondering if anyone else dog has had this and if so do u know about how much it is to get it fixed. Thank you
Price depends on where you live, and vets have different rates. I would advise you to have an opthamologist do it for the expertise and a forever fix, if tacked. My boy had his done at 13 weeks, tacked by a specialist and never an issue after that. He passed at Christmas at age 10. Pet insurance is almost a must if you own a bully. That way there will never be a financial worry, and you will never think twice about taking your bully to the vet when needed. The gold standard of care is what all bullies deserve, they are so special.

You might not need to have it fixed if it does't bother him. Many vets do not recommend removing the cherry eye duct because it can cause many more problems.

our vet tacked them and they had no problem after. Some vets remove the gland completely, depends on the vet. I don't remember the cost, it's been years, but it wasn't horrendously expensive.
