Bulldog Love Lost
Submitted by 24ktBully on August 1, 2013 - 8:44amA few weeks ago I left for 3 days, my husband still home with the Bullies, for a trip back East. Sarah was always the most loveable, laid all over me on the couch, if I went to bed, she followed me to bed, or if I said, "let's go night night", boy she would run to the room and jump on the bed! But ever since I got back she wont have anything to do with me. She doesnt lay on my lap, she wont come to the bedroom with me almost ever, and when she does she lays on the floor.
Why is she doing this and how do I get my love-a-bully back?

Give it a couple of days and she will be right as rain! They do have a way of letting us know when they are displeased with us:-)

Well, its been a couple weeks
Well, its been a couple weeks now. Is there anything I can DO to right this? Other than give her extra lovin?

I act the same way when I am mad at my husband... LOL.. My Fred had something in his mouth one day, a little lego, so I was looking for it, they are great for hiding things in those big lips.. I though I had my finger on it, but to my surprise it was his back tooth and he bit down so hard that I saw Stars.... I yelled so loud that I scared him and he let go... He would not look at me for days after that (almost weeks). They know when they are mad and they know when you are mad... Stubborn little guys.... Give her time, she will come around....
PS - my fault, right, I should keep my fingers out of his mouth.... LOL

I agree.......I think she will come around.
I am experiencing the same thing with Apollo. He lost his brother on Monday and he used to cuddle with me all the time, and now I think he is trying to figure out where Otie went and it breaks my heart that I have to beg him to be near me. Time will tell......and I am hopeful as well.
