I give a Walmart bought Glucosamine supplement to all of my dogs from the time they can eat adult food! I give one, 1000 mg tablet daily...Spring Valley brand. Actually, I just looked at my label...it is 1000mg and should be twice daily, so I guess I am giving them 500mg of Glucosamine daily. It changed, they must have changed the formula. Now I am going back to find the higher dosage, I think they need it.
I also feed Missing Link to my old German Shepard girl. It seems to be doing well for her, I only started it last week though. Her coat is getting a little better, and she really loves the taste. You can try that...

Look great :). I currently use the Liquid Health K9 Glucosomine as I get a great price on it thru our RAW food co-op. Also studies have shown that liquid is absorbed better then pills or chews. In the past I have used the Dasquin and Synovi G3 chews.

Chester has a bad back and a bad leg, and it has helped him tremendously. We order it from 800 ped meds.
