what drops should be used to cure red yeast around eyes?
Submitted by ruger on December 30, 2012 - 3:07pmWe keep Ruger's folds clean but he has a aquired a red yeast around his eyes. Are there any presciption drops that will resolve this? We will be making a vet appointment but always like going in a little educated.
What we do
I don't believe drops will help the situation. What you need is something to apply to the skin/fur that will kill the yeast. With our pup we use mal-a-ket wipes in the folds (at night be fore bed) and we also feed a tsp of raw apple cider vinegar in each meal. Ruby has no tear staining at all (and she is pretty teary).
