Weight
Submitted by jujulgreen on September 22, 2014 - 8:15pmI am sure that this isn't a new topic, but I have a 10 month old male bulldog unaltered that weighs 78.8 lbs. The vet has refused to let me put him on a diet, I feed him Iams adult formula weight control twice a day at 3/4 of a cup each time. Most of the time he finishes it but he has never been one to gobble down his food. He is 16 inches tall at his shoulder so he isn't small to begin with. He weighed 15.8 lbs when he was 8 weeks old so he has just continued to grow from there. I just don't want him to start having problems. Can anyone recommend a better food or diet for him?

his bad leg and back so we have him on Natural Balance Fat Dog and he lost 11 pounds in a few months and isn't overly hungry. He gets 1 cup am and 1 cup pm plus a few grain free treats. This food is grain free but does have oatmeal, which our guys don't have a problem with.
