UTI

I brought her to the Vet and they did a urinalysis and determine she had one and they sent the culter out, she's now on sn antibiotic along with her meds from the GME. Any one have and home remedies to help. She's eating, drinking, pooping and peeing fine.
I have two dogs that prone to UTI's. I use....
Cranberry pills once a day. They are available at Walmart stores, I believe Spring Valley is the brand I use. It is about 4500mg plus vitamin c, which boosts the immune system as well as the cranberry keeping the urinary tract in good shape. Works like a charm on my girls....

Also, get plain, fat free yogurt. Give her a tablespoon in her food twice daily. It will help her maintain good gut bacteria.

So sorry your baby is going through
this. We also went through this recently, and the antibiotic they prescribed did not work. If I may ask how did they do the urine culture? Did they get a catch sample or did they have to insert the needle into the bladder?

The inserted a needle. She has been on clavamox since Friday. I was told I would hear about the culture today but still nothing. I'm kinda getting pissed because of everything else going on. Tufts is really good but the urinealysis was through the local vet. She still has mucus. Due to her GME she is currently on antibiotics for the uti. And procatbazine and prednisone for GME and prion because due to GME she lost control of her bladder. She is also on fish oil and triple flex for elbow and hip dysplasia. She's a hot mess. The GME caused paralysis but she is up walking and Somewhat enjoying life. Dr said once we ween her off the prednisone she will be mych better. We just need to get rid of gbis UTI.

I started giving it to her on Thursday night. She had been on antibiotics for a week and a day and it doesn't seem to be clearing. Hopefully the cranberry supp will work. I was happy it was only $4

UTI has cleared no more
UTI has cleared no more mucus. Two more days of antibiotics. GME is the same blood work is good started to ween her off prednisone yesterday. She was at 80mg daily. Now down to 70 mg for a week then 60mg for three weeks.
Is she still on the cranberry supplement?
Good news! I would keep her on the cranberry supplement for life. Mine all get one pill daily with their breakfast.....
