Update for all you helpful folks

Sherman woke up today not making much noise which is normal. So I gave him his antibiotic and didn't feed him. Then we took a ride in the truck to get new food. I went with natural balance as suggested by someone but I went with the rabbit and potato. Also got some pumpkin and fed him right to this food. He hasn't made a single congested sound yet today. Not even a little bit after eating and drinking. So.. I don't know if its the antibiotic clearing things up already or the food but my guess is the food. But so far so good. He hasn't been licking yet either. He is however super crazy playful right now which I'm taking as whatever it actually is, he's feeling better today.

yay for shermie, glad to hear he's getting there!
p.s. re:worms when my bro had a prob w/his dog one thing that was suggested to him was garlic-either mashed in bolied potatoe or the pill variety, apparently it worked wonders!you might want to chk w/his vet first,re:dosage and whatnot but he swears by it and so do a couple of other dogowners i know!

Thanks

Yea it may be too early to tell but he really is way better now I don't know why exactly cause I always hear food takes a while to get out of ur body but all I can say is he really is a lot better right now so I'm not complaining. Even the antibiotic has only been given to him twice now so even it was that that seems a little too quick too but like I said I'm not complaining. Appreciate the concern.

Glad to hear he's doing better today...

I'm the one with the Natural Balance duck potato, our guys do really well on it, no allergy problems at all.

Glad he's feeling better!

I totally feel for you.  Molly had misdiagnosed pneumonia for weeks and when they finally diagnosed her she was very very sick...almost didn't make it.

This is also my first bulldog so it took me some time to get used to all her bully noises.  In the beginning, I was paranoid ever time she cleared her throat or made a gagging sound and now I just know what is normal for her.  I'd keep up with the meds for sure and just monitor him as long as he is energetic, playful and eating/drinking.  Hope he feels better soon!

Me too

My first bullie too. He's on the antibiotic. I also switched his food to grain free, vacuumed and dusted real well, swiched to hypoallergenic tide, and had the ac dude switch out the filter and it was pretty clogged and dusted up. And that was the thing.. I know he's young and I only have him for 6 weeks or whatever it is now, but I felt that I know his normal sounds and this wasn't one. Either way he's been a lot better and I'm not certain what is fixing it but it seems to be getting better. Still a bit of the congestion sound but not nearly as bad or often and he seems to be able to clear it now which he couldn't before. I'm at ease knowing he's on and antibiotic for upper respiratory/ pnemonia stuff so now ill just wait a few and see if he totally clears up. I know one thing... He was a super crazy maniac today for like an hour chasing me and playing with me. I was out of breath.. not him.  That's all I can say regarding his trachea stuff.. I even told these vets that he never pants or seems winded.. So either way I feel like I took all precautions and well see..
