Is it her inverted vulva? Her very tight tail? Glands full? Ugh.....

with everbullys' replies....SOOO, here's Sophie's deal.....the classic sign of SCOOTING....I clean her, nothing helps.....decide it's
time for the vet....of course more concerned that it COULD be a UTI instead of an anal gland issue....Many (not ALL!) times, when
I clean her vulva, the baby wipes used have some brown on them----since the anus is SO close by, obvioussssssssly, it's a bit
of stool that gets caught in there...right? Well....the vet doesn't think so????...

So he started by expressing her glands, which weren't full by any means, and no problems....then he said her tail is SOOo tight,
that's causing issues, but also, THIS particular scooting problem was that her vulva was VERY red and iiritated, and inverted. . I told him that
I clean her about every 3 days (just to be totally clear....I clean the girlie area first, and it doesn't ALWAYS have brown, but somtimes it does...( THEN I clean under that tight, tight tail and get some stool (of course), and she licks her cute wittle chops when I go under that tail....I know she LOVESSS that! So, I asked him because I don't wanna OVERdo it, or UNDER do it...(I know that we don't want to wipe out the NORMAL flora of either areas, to cause OTHER problems---ugh!).....He did some
cleaning and sprayed something on her that he said would help the discomfort....true, she has been FINE ever since! (well, it
was only yesterday that he saw her).

Once all was done, he said every 3 days was fine, and mentioned different products I could use---one being that "Keto?"....stuff I've heard of here, he also said undiluted witch hazel and some other things. This vet is USUALLY sooo especially nice and helpful, but I could tell he was having an
"OFF" day and really didn't seem to want to give me definite answers. The thing that SHOCKED me was when he said the BROWN I see when I clean her vulva is probably NOT stool...... ??? Really? I mean, there's NO WAY that yeast and other organisms are BROWN, unless I need to learn more?!?!?? Am I crazy? Wrong? He really IS a good vet, but I feel like he was WRONG on that one!...

The brown stuff could be yeast...
Oreo used to get that around her girl junk. I used to clean it with malaseb wipes which are very helpful for yeast.
Thank you! I forgot that the vet said it probably was yeast....
I guess I always think of yeast as WHITE....so, I was wrong....oops! ;-) Thank you, I need those wipeeess.....I have heard such GREAT things
about them! :-)

Yeast
My girl had that same brownish red staining in her area as well! Haha. Those wipes cleared it up in a couple days...I also use them on her face wrinkles, paws and chin! They're really great!
