Hidee's stomach makes these awful noises
Submitted by hideesmom on February 3, 2013 - 6:27pmHidee my 13 yo spayed english bull dog's stomach will make the awful gurling noises. When this is happening she will not eat anything and then in the next 12 to 24 hours she will usually throw up bile. She is fed 3 small meals a day and her food dish is elevated. She has always had a problem with throwing up. She gobbles up her food, so I was told to elevate it to use gravity to get the food further down in her stomach. What could be causing all the gurgling, growling noises? Tks.

What do you feed her?
It sounds like gas, sometimes when my guys are uncomfortable and gurgly, I give them a gas ex. Also, you could try putting a tablespoon of plain yogurt on her food, that can help with gas and digestion.

She was eating Pedigree lamb and rice. Today I bought her 4 health chicken and rice. I will slowly change her over to the 4 health. I will try the yogurt and the gas x. Her gas smells so bad it literally runs my husband and I out of the house. I hope this helps. Do you know how often you can give the gas x. Tks for the info.

the gas ex when she seems gurgly and uncomfortable. One tabelet usually does it for our guys. We feed our guys grain free food, it's good for preventing allergies but I know from experience it doesn't do much for gas.
Is she 13 year old or 13 months?
