Help need advice
Submitted by idow8s2 on March 18, 2015 - 6:55amwe had our pup go through cherry eye surgery back in January. The pocket procedure was performed. The swelling has gone down quite a bit but it is always red and the bottom lid seems droopy. The vet says it takes several months for healing. Has anyone else experience this long healing period. We are still using the ointments prescribed buy it doesn't seem to help.
We have not had to deal with cherry eye, but we are dealing
with other eye issues. Entropian, Ectropian, Dry Eye and too much lid. We are going to a Board Certified Opthamologist. You might consider going to a specialist just to make sure nothing else is going on. Hopefully things will get better for you and your pup.
I would take him back to the vet
If the cream does not seems to be working. If your vet tells you to keep putting on the cream and wait. Then it's time to go to another vet and have it check out. Good Luck with this.
