Bulldogs World

After I thought he was over his bout of drooling and air licking (upset stomach), he had another episode last night. Again the usual symptoms; drooling, licking, rumbly stomach, restlessness, and passing gas through both ends. I gave him Gas Ex (just half a tablet) and this seemed to help him dissipate the gas, but he was still drooling.

So this morning I took him to see Dr. B in Riverside. He said he can refer me to a specialist, but the gastro-ultrasound and accompanying lab work more than likely would not find anything (plus it was really expensive!) I asked about the food and he said this was probably the issue. He also pointed out, if Fatboy is SICK sick, then he would be doing the above symptoms all the time (vs. just at night as we've been seeing). Dr. B suggested to feed him smaller portions more times in the day (the Fats is overweight by 8 lbs).

I now also have to find him dog food made for sensitive digestive systems. OK no problem. This isn't my first rodeo as far as finding new kibble for him goes. However my husband and I are leaving on our vacation this Saturday! I have no problem measuring out the food for him, I just wish I could be there to monitor him while this change is going on.

Dr. B said we have a special little guy here. I sarcastically said, "Oh he's special alright" lol My poor puppy :(
