8yr old female just keeping head down
Submitted by Skeel on January 7, 2014 - 9:53pmOur 8 yr old just became very lethargic, walks very slowly, keeps head down when walking. Won't eat her food, ate a treat. Temp is 100.5. Has a little swearing cough every once in awhile. Shivering a little at times. Understands when we talk to her Perfectly fine until a few hours ago. Has gone outside to pee and poop. Any thoughts what's going on or what to do?

I would be making a beeline to the vet.
Those are serious symptoms. I would immediately head to a vet. It sounds to me like an ingested poison/toxin, or worse. Please, go NOW to your vet....

Update
She seems much better. We gave her a couple of short steams, since she had the raspy cough. She has started eating again, she does seem to be drinking a lot of water, but she is peeing it out. Must have been a 24 hour bug, at least I hope that was all it was. Thanks for your concern.
