Besides, bulldogs, NASCAR and open wheel racing, we love football. For all you other bulldog lovers who are into football as well, one of the best things about attending the Oklahoma Bulldog Club Specialty Shows the past two years has been to go to Elizabeth and Jack's house party afterwords and watching all those Oklahoma/Texas bulldoggers get engrossed in the Oklahoma football game. Needless to say they all take their football VERY seriously.
Now I know this is hard to believe, but they actually stop talking about dogs during the game!!! We found it was great to get caught up in their excitment and we are thrilled their quaterback won the Heisman Trophy. We now sit here in AZ and watch Oklahoma play, every chance we get.
Now with that said, I have a little football brag to share. All you Seattlites, there is hope for the Seahawks! Long time Bulldoggers Maxine and Joe Michalczik of Port Angeles (and Sun City AZ)have one son Jim. Jimmy was just hired to become their new Offensive Line Coach for the Seahawks. So the future should be brighter for the Hawks.
In college, Jimmy was a Washington State Cougar under Coach Erickson and after playing briefly for the Adminzona Cardinals, coached with Erickson when he went to Miami. Next he coached for Oregon with Erickson and most recently for the past 4 or 5 years has been with Coach Tedford at Cal. Every school he has coached for has done well with him as a part of the coaching staff.
We met Joe and Maxine 35 years ago when they brought their bulldog Bootsie to be breed to our Ch. Sweet JellyRoll Jackson. Jimmy has loved bulldogs since he was a baby. So all you football and bulldog lovers, say a prayer for Jimmy and the Seahawks next season. Do you suppose the Seattle bulldoggers now have an "in" to get SuperBowl tickets?
