Excessive Shedding & Dandruff :(
Submitted by devlan on April 21, 2010 - 12:11amWe took Winston to the vet about a month ago for strange breakouts & excessive shedding. They told us it looked like food allergy. They did scapes and all came back clean. So we changed his food to the Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish as well as his treats which are also the same brand.
We are now noticing that his excessive shedding is still happening and he appears to have a lot of dandruff or very flakey skin. He is not itching.
Any one ever seen anything like this or have any ideas we can try without having to go to the vet again?

you can also use fish oil ..that will be good fot the fur..but you have to find a good dog food that doesnt contain the item ur doggie is allerg to

yes its to room with..it removes all the yucky fur..the more you brush the better the coat will be

when you chancge any food and with seasons.
Order some BP3 shampoo. Its a folicular flushing shampoo. Helps clear out the folicules and moisturize the coat, decreasing those dry nasty flakes.

change his dog food as my guys have been thru this
they were on NB duck and potatoes and their skin would be very dry and shed alot and in between the toes would be all red. So I bought the Orijen dog food(chicken) and use the Malaseb shampoo once a week and their furs are so soft and shiny, not much to none shedding. It's incredible, give it a try.

try using....
some cod liver pills....this helped alot with the shedding and has alot of omgeas in it....
sheeding and dandruff is from dry skin....

Is the fur eliminator something used to groom him with, a product you use on him or put in the food?

one of my bullies went threw that and yes it is a food allergie..i put my girls on natures recipe and used the fur eliminator and it seemed to cure the problem..hope this was helpful
